Every year of this month, the Korean Pop group holds the BTS Festa. The group kicked off the 2017 BTS Festa with an opening ceremony through a skit to tease their upcoming events via Twitter. The seven-member K-Pop group BTS recently nabbed the Top Social Artist Award at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. They made history being the first K-pop group to receive a trophy. They overthrew international artists like Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Shawn Mendez who were all nominated for the award. 2017 BTS Festa opening ceremony on Twitter, translated On May 31, BTS posted a video on Twitter captioned, “Opening Ceremony: Skit about 2017 Festa.” The video run for about a minute and twenty seconds and became an instant hit. Well, they weren’t awarded the Top Social Artist Award for nothing, right? The video has been viral since. It’s had around 115k retweets and 178k likes in a matter of twelve hours. The challenge is it’s in pure Korean but fans all over still think it’s the most wonderful news they’ve heard. Thanks to netizens who posted translations in the comment thread, they get bits and pieces of what the skit was all about. Thankfully, there is a translated version of the whole thing on YouTube. The gist is that Rap Monster (Nam-joon) was cooking up a song with V (Tae-hyung) which Jimin and the others say they haven’t heard yet. Suga (Yoong-gi) says he was the main character of this year’s Festa. V talks about J-Hope’s (Ho-seok) black hair and Jin comments on how everyone is all about J-hope these days. The group also posted a timetable of the 2017 BTS Festa. On June 2, they will be having the BTS Photo Collection, a presentation of “We Don’t Talk Anymore” on June 3, and a BTS Focus Exclusive Stage Cam on June 4. More special events await fans this month.
