And why not? There’s nothing wrong with having goals, in fact, it’s encouraged. Although exercise is important and plays a significant role in your body goals, what you put in your body is also just as important. So here are some tips on how you can achieve your 2019 body goals. How to get your 2019 Body Goals 1.Keto diet A keto diet or a ketogenic diet is a low carb diet that helps you better burn fat. When you’re on this diet your body goes into a state of “ketosis” where low carb levels lead to a decrease of sugar levels and result to your body breaking down fat to use as fuel or energy. So instead of burning carbs, you burn off fat causing you to lose weight faster. You do this by eating meat, fish or seafood, eggs, natural fats such as butter and the like. Basically, as long as it’s not full of sugar and starch (carbohydrates), your good to go. We have a couple of celebrities who have embraced and endorsed the keto diet. Celebrities such as Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, Gwenyth Paltrow, even sports superstar LeBron James are in on the ever-popular keto diet. Ted Eytan / Flickr 2. Keto Reset Diet If you have concerns on the lack of eco-friendliness of the original keto diet, the keto reset diet is the one for you. It’s a new year and people are becoming more eco-conscious in their overall lifestyles. This resulted in the rise of the keto reset diet. Although both diets work in the same way where they burn fat instead of carbs. The keto reset diet does so without animal products, sort of like a vegan keto diet where it’s plant-based. Although this type of diet is a little slower in the weight loss department, it can also serve as a transition diet when or if you want to get into the OG keto diet. So you are able to ease into it. Both of these diets are great it’s just that there’s meat in the other although it’s just a matter of preference. Eiliv-Sonas Aceron / Unsplash 3. Intermittent Fasting Sadly this includes not eating or restricting your food intake for a certain period of time. It’s easier to follow because you don’t have to restrict the kind of food you eat but rather restrict the time you eat. Intermittent fasting is when you restrict what and when you eat at certain periods of time. There are different diets. There is the 5:2 where you fast for two days of the week and the more popular 8:16 where you fast for 16 hours and have an 8-hour window where you can eat. This is popular with Jennifer Lopez, Terry Crews, and Hugh Jackman who both abide by the 8:16 diet. It’s important to know and understand what we put in our bodies and what we put them through. Whatever you’re going to do to achieve your body goals always remember that health is wealth. Agê Barros / Unsplash Facebook Comments
