After almost a month after her breakup with Daniel Matsunaga, Erich Gonzales is stronger than ever and has moved on in style. Her upcoming lead role in the March 11 episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya attests to this and she has got her stunning new look to prove it.
Like any other lady, there is simply something about getting overs and makeovers that make a woman more herself again. So, if you feel that you just might need a little picker-upper yourself, then, fret no more! These three things will leave you feeling more stylishly empowered, the Erich Gonzales way.
Makeover Tip #1: Rock the ‘Lob’ ‘Do
Before we go on, let’s get a reality check. Unlike Erich, we do not have Alex Carbonell as a hair stylist. But it is not the end of the world for the striving fashionista. In an interview with Preview, Alex of Studio Fix, mentioned “key points” to Erich’s new hairdo. For one, the bangs should be swept to the side. This adds a “dash of softness” while framing the face. Secondly, go for the Long Bob (“Lob”) – the type of length that is in between long and short. To others, it may otherwise be more familiarly known as the shoulder length. Add some subtle layers for texture while you’re at it. Finally, include some “balayage” coloring. This means fading in a darker hair color with a lighter one just like Erich’s hair right here.
Makeover Tip #2: On Makeup, Less Is More
It is no doubt the Erich has made a name for herself in Philippine television. Be My Lady is one of her highest rated shows. When ABS-CBN talked with makeup artist RB Chanco about how to get Erich’s signature look, RB said that makeup shouldn’t be taken to the extreme. Going for “just what is right for you” is best. For Erich, it is more about color on the lips, eyeliner and mascara. Contours are to be used at a minimum. RB also stresses “less kilay” and “less skin”. It is better to go au naturelle and “enhancing your beauty is key,” the makeup artist says.
Makeover Tip #3: Elevate Your OOTD, Go Monochrome
Whether at traveling or for the daily toil, going monochrome for today’s outfits is definitely in. Erich was divine in such monochromatic ensembles at her most recent shoot in Los Angeles, California. What is great about this color scheme according to Preview Magazine is that it allows a sense of consistency that leads to a more sophisticated, “polished and seamless” look. To pull this off really well, the secret is to be playful with a color’s many shades. Contrasting colors will give that x-factor too, especially with matching accessories.
Erich Gonzales to Star in Maalaala Mo Kaya’s March 11 Episode
In lieu of Women’s International Day, Erich Gonzales will play the lead role in the March 11 Episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya. Erich is Vin-zl, a resilient teenage mother who triumphed over the struggles of finishing college, never forgetting to fulfill her dreams for herself and for her own child. Maalaala Mo Kaya airs at ABS-CBN at 8:15 in the evening.
