A day after failing to defend his title in the floor exercise category, Filipino Olympic athlete Carlos Yulo redeemed himself as he bagged the vault title in the 50th FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships at the Kitakyushu General Gymnasium in Japan. This is his second competition of the year after the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
This year’s medal is no surprise for the stellar gymnast as he has consistently garnered medals in the last three years before the said event. He started making a name for himself when he won the gold medal for Asian Junior Championships in Bangkok, Thailand in 2017. But it was in 2018 where he landed several medals in different international competitions such as those in Azerbaijan, Germany, and Australia.
