Snapchat Global Influencer CyreneQ arrived in Manila for the National Digital Arts Awards 2017 Roadshow. The event happens at the Be-ing Suites in Davao on Friday, November 25, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. 

Who is CyreneQ?

Cyrene Quiamco is a 26-year-old Filipina born in Bacolod who lives in Little Rock, Arkansas. CyreneQ is an artist famous for her Snapchat posts with self-made graphic designs of celebrity portraits and Disney characters. She also makes interactive Snapchat posts with quizzes and interactive snaps. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Cyrene says she’s always been an artist ever since elementary. Here’s a sample of her art which she posted years ago.

She didn’t quite know how to bring it out and use it in the real world and said, “Then I found out there’s a career called graphic design and companies hire you to make art.” So what else do we know about this Internet sensation?

1.Well of course, CyreneQ is known for her creative and interactive Snapchats. This is what put her name out there. Cyrene started using Snapchat in January 2015. CyreneQ tells Cosmopolitan that her Snapchat artworks are a combination of art and story telling. Cyrene revealed to Celebrity Snapchatter Mark Kaye that she uses just a stylus and her phone to create this art. Here’s one of her recent posts on her Facebook Page. In her videos, she’s mostly with her ‘sidekick character’ friend, Ele.

Her Snapchat art also extends to digital art portraits with celebrities.

CyreneQ gets about 10,000 to 15,000 views on her snaps.

2. Cyrene doesn’t just do digital art, she does ceramic art too. Cyrene graduated Magan Cum Laude in May 2012 with a Bachelors in Gracphic Design, Painting, Ceramics and Digital Graphics at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

She also makes some bad ass paintings. Some of her work were featured at the University of Arkansas Gallery in 2011.

3. CyreneQ is a fan of Ellen DeGeneres. In her interview with Mark Kaye, Mark asked, “If you would be able to take a real selfie with a celebrity, who would it be?” Cyrene said she would love to have it with Ellen DeGeneres. She also reveals to Cosmopolitan that her favorite Snapchat selfie art would be with Ellen DeGeneres as well. We do have a feeling they would meet someday. Her Celebrity Selfie Series started with her Snapchat art with Ellen.

Speaking of celebrities though, her first celebrity interview was with Keving Jonas. She tells Cosmopolitan that Kevin Jonas helped her kick off the Celebrity Selfie Series.

Since then Cyrene has made more celebrity selfies with her art.

4. She’s the creator of The11thSecond.com. Cyrene tells Cosmopolitan that she started the site as a way to build a community for artists to show their talent. Snapchat just gives you 10-second videos. The 11th second is the screenshot you send to the site.

In her site, she shares tips and tricks to make the best Snapchats. Anyone who has a Snapchat account can join and can contribute their Snapchat art on the site.

5. CyreneQ worked with a lot of brands and is NDAA’s Global Ambassador. Cyrene is not your small time social media celerity. She’s worked with numerous brands like Samsung, Walmart, Samsung, MTV, Pixar, 20th Century Fox, Burger King, Disneyland, The Voice, UNICEF and Lions Gate. Cyrene is the Global Ambassador for National Digital Arts Awards 2017. She will be travelling to MAnila, Davao Cebu and Bacolod.
