1.A Real, Modern and Refreshing Plot
Bea Alonzo and Ian Veneracion talked about “A Love to Last” in an interview she had with ABS-CBN in December. She said the plot is ‘refreshing’ because it mirrors real situations from real life. She said it was real in the sense that it shows modern families of today. Families survive every trial but it’s the love for family that remains she said. Ian Veneracion says, “It’s a story of love regardless of age, regardless of past, regardless of your experiences.”
The series is a story about two broken-hearted people who look for a love that would last. Anton (Ian Veneracion) is married to Grace (Iza Calzado) and they both have three children. Grace eventually files for an annulment because she thins Anton is no longer fit to be a husband. Anton then falls in love with Andrea (Bea Alonzo) who works for Anton. Andrea comes from a broken family and has trust issues with men.
2.Location Shoot In The Philippines And Germany
In an ABS-CBN report, Bea Alonzo and Ian Veneracion left for Germany on November 13 to shoot scenes for the upcoming series. In the report, Bea said they went to Munich.
Bea expressed how excited she was to shoot scenes for “A Love To Last.” She hopes that they would be able to execute their roles well since the script was superb.
3.Original title was ‘The Second Wife’
During the reveal of the TV series in June, the series was called “The Second Wife” and later, Star Creatives changes the working title to “A Love to Last” around November of last year.
4.A TV comeback for both Bea Alonzo and Ian Veneracion
“A Love to Last” is a TV comeback for both Bea Alonzo and Ian Veneracion. Ian Veneracion’s last TV series was the classic drama remake “Pangako Sa’yo” with Jodie Sta. Maria in 2015. Bea Alonzo on the other hand went hiatus for two years since her last TV series “Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon” in 2014.
5. The series has an online platform, ‘A Love to Last: Laban for Love Museum’
On January 2, Star Creatives launched its online platform, ‘A Love to Last: Laban for Love Museum’ which aims to celebrate the little things that symbolize your fight for love. It even has the hashtag #ParaSaPagibig. The online platform has different categories namely for you significant other, family, friends, and of course, to your greatest love—self.
