Apparently, Liza is an avid fan of the show and has been posting her reactions about the series on Twitter. Little did the actress know that Christian, who plays Tony in the series, replied to Liza’s tweet. “13 Reasons Why” is a novel turned American TV series written by Jay Asher and co-produced by Selena Gomez. It was released worldwide via Netflix on March 31. It talks about bullying and its effects on high school students. The series stars Katherine Langford who plays Hannah Bakerm the girl who commits suicide. Hannah reveales thirteen reasons why she did it on a set of tapes which came with a set of instructions. Clay Jensen played by Dylan Minnette finds these tapes. Tony Padilla played by Christian Navarro is the recipient of a second set of tapes and was instructed by Hannah to release the tapes publicly if the recipients didn’t follow her instructions. Christian Navarro responds to Liza Soberano’s tweet On April 2, Liza Soberano posted several tweets about the series. Her first tweet read, “Bullying and humiliating people isn’t cool.” Almost 44k people liked this particular tweet. She then posted another tweet saying, “I finished the whole series. But I’m not just talking about 13 Reasons Why.” Much to Liza’s suprise, Christian Navarro, the actor who plays Tony Padilla in the series itself responded to her tweet and said, “Well, you’re right Liza. Thanks for watching anyway.” This tweet was posted at around April 5 but Liza retweeted this post on April 17 realizing that it was indeed Christian Navarro himself. The actress quoted the tweet and said, “OMG. Thanks for tweeting me!!! I love Thirteen Reasons Why!.” Check out the exchange of tweets below.
