However, the production houses are yet to release the official synopsis and target release of the movie. Anne Curtis is a host in the hit noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’ and currently on Viva’s roster of talents. Here’s what we know about ‘Sid and Aya (Not A Love Story)’ By the looks of the sneak-peeks shared by the actors and producers on social media, the movie sure looks like a love story contrary to what it says in the title which makes it ironic. There’s currently not much information shared about the film as the details are kept under wraps and they just began filming early this year, but we are given clues through behind the scenes and interviews with the actors. Reunion after almost two decades Anne and Dingdong first worked on a show together in a GMA-7 youth-oriented show “TGIS” which ran from 1997 to 1999. They also starred as siblings in the movie “Honey, My Love, So Sweet” in 1999. And now, after almost two decades, they are going to play the roles of Sid and Aya. First time to work as a love team In an interview with PEP, lead star Dingdong Dantes acknowledged the fact that this is their first movie as love team despite not being their first ever movie together as mentioned above. Dingdong shared that she’s been with Anne in his first big project as an artist. “First [big] project sa industriya, siya una kong kasama sa casting,” he said. “First time to work with her na yung characters namin yung involved sa isa’t isa,” the leading man added. Dong’s first out of the country shoot In his Instagram post, Dantes shared that in his 20 years in the entertainment industry, this is his first project that was taped outside the country. He also said that he’s lucky to work with ‘efficient, ingenious, and talented’ team. In my 20 years in the entertainment industry, ngayon lang ako nakapag-shoot ng movie sa ibang bansa. I am lucky to have worked with this efficient, ingenious and talented skeletal 20(plus)-man team of Sid and Aya.
