Share on Facebook Share on Twitter After the performances of 10 grand finalists during Pilipinas Got Talent 6 Grand Showdown on Apr. 28 and 29, the public and the judges have spoken. Spiral pole dancer Kristel De Catalina got the highest votes at 99.67% and became this season’s Grand Winner. She wins the 2 million pesos cash prize and a travel package from 2GO. Kristel De Catalina Is Grand Winner The petite dancer and single mom performed not on the spiral pole but using a rope that was being spun while she was in the air. All of the judges agreed that she was the type of talent who does not stop leveling up every time. According to judge Angel, she never fails to amaze everybody every time she performs. Robin Padilla, on the other hand, commented that he was happy to see that Kristel was being assisted by a man during her act. This comment, however, earned the ire of netizens once again. Most of them took to Twitter to express their sentiments. One Twitter user called in an “unnecessary comment.” She said: “Seriously, Robin Padilla’s comment on having a man in life (on Catalina’s performance) is really annoying me so much that I want to turn off the TV and write a letter to change him for the next PGT season. Another Twitter user cites how Robin seems to do this often. He tweeted: “Sometimes, he spurts out misogynistic comments against women on live TV and labels them as ‘individuals who cannot live without men.'” Joven Olvido, Julius And Rhea In Top 3 Wheelchair dance duo Julius and Rhea and fan favorite Joven Olvido joined Kristel in the top 3 acts that got the highest combined votes. Julius and Rhea got 84.60 percent while Joven received 79.05 percent. Acrobatic dance kids DWC Aeon Flex was at 4th place while the much-applauded Bardilleranz Pull Up Bars exhibition was at 5th place. Fifty percent of the votes come from public voting, while the other 50 percent came from the judges. After Joven’s act on Apr. 28, Vice Ganda commented that it was not his funniest performance. Nevertheless, Vice shared some good news to Joven: that he was going to part of the comedian’s next movie with Star Cinema. Seriously, Robin Padilla's comment on having a man in life (on Catalina's performance) is really annoying me so much that I want to turn off the tv and write a letter to change him for the next PGT season. So unnecessary comment. #PGTGreatestShowdown — Mariciel Tubale (@fluffymatu) April 28, 2018 (1) Some, if not most, of Robin Padilla's remarks regarding women are sexist and are oftentimes discriminatory. Sometimes, he spurts out misogynistic comments against women on live TV and labels them as "individuals who cannot live without men". — ; B E N 🤓 (@Bentooooy) April 29, 2018 Facebook Comments
