Share on Facebook Share on Twitter President Rodrigo Duterte has signed Proclamation No. 269 declaring the list of holidays 2018 as early as July last year. There will be a lot of holidays to expect from July to December 2018. Ten regular holidays, 6 special non-working days and an additional 2 special days for 2018 in the Philippines. Plan your trip as early as now so you can enjoy that much-needed vacation. July to December Holidays 2018 Starting August, expect 4 regular holidays and 5 special non-working holidays since there will be no holiday for the month of July. There will be 2 holidays to expect for the month of August. Both of them are declared to commemorate heroic acts. August 21 is Ninoy Aquino Day and National Heroes Day on August 31. In November, expect a long weekend for the first week and for the last week of the month. November 1 is declared as a special non-holiday for All Saints’ Day and an additional extension on November 2. Luckily, November 1 and 2 will fall under a Thursday and Friday so expect a four-day vacation. Bonifacio Day will fall also on the same month on November 30, Friday, which will be a regular holiday for all. Thus, it will also be a long weekend. In December, there will be four holidays in total plus the two long weekends that fall under it. December 25 will be the most anticipated event which is the Christmas Day. President Rodrigo Duterte added December 24 to be a special holiday to promote domestic tourism on Christmas Day. Another regular holiday is the day to commemorate the death of National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal on December 30. Following this day will be the last year of the year, December 31, declared as a special non-working day. This will also be a long weekend that will be December 29 (Saturday) to January 1 that will be Tuesday the next year.
