It certainly was a great weekend for AlDub and LizQuen fans as two of the Philippines’ favorite love teams did a meet and greet in the US and Canada separately of course. GMA Kapuso stars Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza were in the “KS sa US” concert at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on April 9. Meanwhile, ABS-CBN Kapamilya stars Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil were in the “Star Magic 25” grand celebration at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, Canada also on April 9.
Since both big events happened on the same day, fans were having separate Twitter parties: one for AlDub fans and one for LizQuen fans. Both were trending on Twitter each with separate hashtags. Aldub fans were on the #ALDUBxDTBYKSsaCa party while LizQuen fans were on the #LizQuenStarMagic25Canada party.
AlDub and Kalyeserye on KS sa US concert in California
Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza arrived in Los Angeles the day before the “KS sa US” concert on April 9. They were with fellow “Eat Bulaga” host and personality Wally Bayola an Paolo Ballesteros for their first-ever AlDub concert in the US.
In a GMA report, correspondent Nelson Canlas took a snapshot of loveteam and captioned the photo expressing how he saw Alden supported Maine on this show. This is Maine’s first show in the US.
As of 6 p.m. in Los Angeles on April 9, AldUb fans could be seen waiting for the gates of the Pasadena Civic Auditorium to open. Fans on Twitter say gates were opened right around 7 p.m. Different AldUb promo items and souvenirs were on sale right outside the gates as posted by a fan. The auditorium was packed as expected.
Videos of the pairs rehearsals were leaked on Twitter. AldUb could be seen dancing to the tune of The Chainsmoker’s “Closer” while Maine could be seen doing the moonwalk.
Aldub will also be performing at the Kings Theater in New York on April 12.
LizQuen On Star Magic 25, Canada
Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil are set to perform for fans for TFC’s “Star Magic 25” at the Queen Elizabeth Theater. They are joined by stars like Piolo Pascual, Sam Milby, Jodi Sta. Maria, Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Arci Munoz, Darren Espanto and Eric Nicolas.
The gates opened at around 2:00 p.m. The show was set to start at 7:00 p.m. Fans have been posting videos on Twitter showing the theater packed with LizQuen and ABS-CBN fans waiting to catch a glimpse of their favorite stars.
Another fan posted a video of fans sharing messages to LizQuen from fans with a video showing almost all ABS-CBN stars with the duo. One also shared a video of Enrique calling Liza “the love of his life.” He introduced Liza who was backstage saying, “I’ve got the love of my life waiting.”
LizQuen on Twitter were seen holding each other’s hands while on stage, singing Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop The feeling” for fans. Enrique Gil, of course, busted some moves to a hip hop beat.
Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil and other ABS-CBN stars will also be performing at Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino on April 14 and at the Great America Amusement Park on Apri 15.
