AlDub, the social media phenomenon, once again made its mark on October 22. It topped global trends with the hashtag #AlDubWedding, with over 4.3 million tweets recorded. Among those tweets, five posts made it to the top 5 based on the number of re-tweets and likes.
Rightly so, because it was same day when the much-awaited wedding of Kalyeserye sweethearts Alden Richards and “Yaya Dub” Maine Mendoza also happened. The wedding was indeed a big event, shot live inside a real church and with all the cast members of Eat Bulaga’s Kalyeserye present. The bride and groom even had a pre-nuptial photo shoot, which was also shared through social media.

1. Raffy Tima shared a video of his view of the wedding which was re-tweeted over 2,300 times and liked by over 3,300 people. The video showed the bridal car parking in front of the church while Maine exits and enters the church. Such a beautiful sight!
2. A GIF of Yaya Dub making her grand entrance while Alden was looking on with a smile on his face comes next. This was shared via Twitter by @maichard21, with over 2,000 re-tweets and almost 2,000 likes. We now see why this is such a trending GIF!
3. The third most popular post was also from @maichard21, which was a GIF of Alden’s vow to Yaya Dub during the wedding. “Ipinapangako ko na sa bawat paggising mo hanggang sa pagtulog mo, hahawakan ko ang mga kamay mo at yayakapin ko ang puso mo.”
4. Top 4 is another GIF, again by @maichard21 that showed Alden’s “look of disbelief” to Yaya Dub’s line “Sino ba naman ako, ‘di ba?” when she was reading her wedding vow. And added, “Isang ordinaryong babae lang naman.”
5. The fifth most popular post was from Aldub/Maiden Nation, which had the link to Jason Magbanua’s same-day-edit wedding video!
