AlDub’s Destined To Be Yours Scores High Ratings, Twitterverse Reacts

Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards’ latest teleserye Destined To Be Yours created a massive online buzz with its worldwide premiere. The show’s hashtag, #DTBYPremiere, placed first in the nationwide twitter trending topic and also got in the Worldwide trends.

But that’s not all- the Kapuso primetime series also has an overwhelming 4.6 million tweets from fans. Plus, a high television rating for the airing of the Destined To Be Yours pilot episode.

All About Destined To Be Yours

The Primetime-serye revolves around Sinag Obispo (Maine Mendoza), a community radio DJ in her hometown Pelangi. The male lead is Benjie Rosales (Alden Richards), a fresh architect with a close relationship with his mother.

Sinag and Benjie’s story already began when they were kids. The younger Sinag and Benjie meet at a festival where Benjie saves Sinag from a tricycle almost hitting her. This is where Sinag begins to believe that the boy who saved her is her destiny. Sadly, the two weren’t able to give each other their names.

Benjie and Sinag’s paths meet once again when they’re older. Although, Sinag goal is to look for a sponsor to fix their station’s broken antennae while Benjie aims to apply at a big architecture firm.

Destined To Be Yours airs on Mondays to Friday at 8:30 PM right after Encantadia and just before Meant to Be.
