Veteran writer and talent manager Alfie Lorenzo passed away at 78, early Tuesday morning, according to his relatives. A report also cited the cause of death as heart failure. Funeral arrangements for Lorenzo are being taken cared of by former ward, Judy Ann Santos.
According to an ABS-CBN report, the wake for Lorenzo, one of showbiz’s pioneers in talent management, will be held in Quezon City and in his hometown in Pampanga.

Lorenzo is known in local showbiz as a talent manager and entertainment columnist who speaks his mind all the time. Because of his frankness, he is also known to exchange some heated words not only with other showbiz personalities but also with his own wards.
Among the actresses managed by Lorenzo were Sunshine Cruz, Ruffa Gutierrez, and Judy Ann Santos. Judy Ann a few months ago however shared that she is no longer being managed by the veteran talent manager. She also said in a PEP.ph report, that she left as early as August 2016 but only revealed the news recently.
According to an Inquirer report, Dan Lorenzo who is Alfie’s brother also shared the grief felt by his brothers’ friends in showbiz. While he agrees with them that his brother is already in peace and is resting, he and his family still could not help but cry at their loss. He also thanks his brother’s friends, especially those in the business.
Wake Arrangements On The Way
Despite their parting of ways, Judy Ann has decided to take care of her “Tito Alfie’s” funeral arrangements. The actress posted on Instagram that they are closely working with the family so that Tito Alfie’s last requests are met.
According to his brother, the wake in Quezon City will be held at the Arlington Memorial Chapels along Araneta Avenue. No details of the wake in Pampanga have been given.
