“Along With The Gods: The Two Worlds” sequel is coming out this summer and fans could not wait for it to hit theaters. Just a couple of months from now, fans would again catch a glimpse of the outstanding performances of Ha Jung-woo, Chae Tae-hyu, Ju Ji-hoon, and Kim Hyang-gi.
The South Korean fantasy film is about a firefighter named Ja-Hong (Cha Tae-hyun) who suddenly dies. In his death, he meets three guardians: Deok-choon (Kim Hyang-gi), Hewonmak (Ju Ji-hoon) and the head grim reaper (Ha-Jung-woo). He then finds himself and head grim reaper named Gang-rim (Ha Jung-woo).
These three are Ja’s escorts to the afterlife who take a journey with him a he passes through seven circles of hell to prove that he is worthy of reincarnation.

“Along With The Gods: The Two Worlds” is officially the third biggest box office hit in the country according to the Korean Film Council as seen on Korean Film Biz Zone. Since its debut in December 2017, the film has had 13,592,480 admissions and has earned over 100M dollars as of Jan 22.
The sequel was shot at the same time as Part 1 was being filmed and according to a recent AllKpop report, the sequel is due out this summer in August 2018. The same report confirms that editing of the sequel is being finalized and that the staff is currently focusing on the CG effects.
In terms of casting, it is confirmed that Ha Jung Woo and Ju Ji-hoon will be back on the sequel as well as Lee Jung Jae who plays Yeomra. Chae Tae Hyun, on the other hand, won’t be returning for part 2. New cast include Ma Dong Seok and Kim Min Jong.
“Along With The Gods 2” is said to be set thousands of years before the first film.
Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds drama? A separate AllKpop report confirms that the film is getting its own drama. The report says the drama version is scheduled for pre-production early 2018 and “existing characters will be carried over to the small screen.”
