Out of all events year-round, Christmas in Baguio City is something to really look forward to. There’s just a different surprise to look forward to every time. And with the activities lined up, this year’s Christmas in Baguio City is surely going to be one of its most festive. From Christmas fairs to light shows and concerts, the city is really going all out for the holiday celebrations.This year, the city has prepared a 40-day calendar of events that’ll run through November to January 6, 2020. All events and activities are under the theme ‘An Enchanting Baguio Christmas.’ And at the center of it is the Baguio Christmas Fair, a European-inspired Christmas market set up in the Rose Garden. It is the first in the country and the third in Asia. Aside from that, there is so much more to expect.
So, gear up and get ready to feel the full force of Baguio’s holiday spirit. Here’s what else to expect in An Enchanting Baguio Christmas.
An Enchanting Baguio Christmas 2019 Calendar
The fun begins on November 23 with the soft opening of the Baguio Christmas Fair at 5:30 pm. It will be featuring a performance by the Bayanihan Philippine National Folk Dance Company. On November 24, the Baguio Christmas Fair will have its grand launching with a performance from the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra at 5:30 pm. Here, 20 specially designed chalets containing various Christmas goodies will be placed all around Rose Garden for everyone to enjoy. They’re divided into clusters of The French Fantasy, The German Gems, Imagining Italy, and Living Local.
Aside from that, there are a couple more performances to look out for before the grand launching of An Enchanting Baguio Christmas. On November 29, there will be a holiday acoustic jam by Julian and Mikee at 5 pm. Then the next day, there will be a holiday flute solo performance by Elmo Inso at 6 pm. There will also be the Cordillera-Japan “Bunka Geijutsu Sai” Culture and Arts Festival at Malcolm Square that’ll last until November 30. After that, the December activities start for both An Enchanting Baguio Christmas and Silahis ng Pasko.
Dec. 1 – Children’s Mardi Gras Parade and An Enchanting Baguio Christmas Grand Launching (5 pm) at Session. This will be set off by the Christmas tree lighting atop Session Road, the annual SLU lantern parade, and the lights and sounds show at Malcolm Square. Then, there will also be a post-show dance concert at Malcolm as well at 7:30 pm. And the night will end with a fireworks display.

Other Baguio Christmas Activities
Aside from what’s in the city’s calendar of activities, there are also other holiday attractions and activities around Baguio City. There’s the Baguio Country Club Christmas Village. Then, there’s also The Manor’s Christmas Traditions. Every day, they have a light show at 6:30 pm and they also have their very own Christmas Fair. In addition to that, Citylight Hotel is also celebrating the holidays through a Christmas Bazaar. The bazaar will last from November 29 to December 1. Last but not least, there will be a Baguio Christmas Run on December 15 organized by Don Santillan and Amego APP. It has four categories which are Kiddie, 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km. With all those events, the Baguio holiday season is really jam-packed. So, better start making plans and join the holiday spirit!
