Anatalia Villaranda’s The Voice 2017 Dream Ends

Filipino-American teen Anatalia Villaranda says goodbye to her dreams of making it in The Voice 2017. In the April 17 episode of The Voice on NBC, Anatalia did not garner enough votes to be saved by the public. Coach Alicia Keys also chose to use her save for another artist, Stephanie Rice.

According to Extra’s live blog of the episode, the live playoffs kicked off with artists from the first two teams, Team Alicia and Team Blake. First up were the artists under the helm of Blake Shelton. After this, Team Alicia followed.

Anatalia Villaranda Gives Her All In Live Playoffs

Anatalia was the second artist to perform, after an impressive performance by Chris Blue. She chose a slow tempo song, Stand By Me. This choice was a departure from her previous performances, where she showcased her powerful vocals and on-stage energy.

After her song, coach Alicia Keys said that she loved Anatalia’s performance. She also said that despite it being a down-tempo song, Anatalia still manages to bring “energy” to the performance.

Four more Team Alicia artists performed after Anatalia: Jack Cassidy (Alicia’s comeback artist), Vanessa Ferguson, Ashley Levin and Stephanie Rice.

America Votes For Vanessa And Chris, Alicia Saves Stephanie

The public had a chance to vote for which artist to save as the team’s artists performed. The results showed that America voted to save Chris Blue and Vanessa Ferguson. Both artists notably gave impressive performances that wowed the audience, their coach and even the other coaches.

In order to complete her team for the live shows, Alicia needs to choose one artist to save. She chose singer-songwriter Stephanie Rice, which she previously stole from Gwen Stefani’s team during the knockouts.

Her team for the live shows include Chris Blue, Vanessa Ferguson and Stephanie Rice. Along with Team Blake’s three artists, they are the first six to join The Voice 2017 Top 12.
