The latest official national TV ratings are out and among all TV shows, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” “Encantadia,” and “Alyas Robin Hood” made it to the top ten. The fairly new Bea-Ian soap, “A Love To Last,” on the other hand, took a higher rank compared to its rival show, “Meant To Be.” The ratings also revealed which media outfit was patronized during the 65th Miss Universe Pageant.

The survey for national tv ratings is done by Kantar Media. It uses a nationwide panel size of 2,610 urban and rural homes that represent 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population. Kantar Media is a multinational research group who specializes in audience measurement and they work for more than 80 countries. Just recently, comparative results for TV ratings were released for the Philippines as of Jan 30.

Comparative Results of ABS-CBN vs GMA TV Shows

For the Top 10 on Kantar Media’s national TV ratings, there were six ABS-CBN shows and four GMA shows. Ranked from one to ten is “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” “TV Patrol,” “Encantadia,” Miss Universe the Philippines” (Live via ABS-CBN), “My Dear Heart,” “24 Oras,” Alyas Robin Hood,” “News Patrol (ABS-CBN), “Minute to Win it Last Singer Standing,” and “Wowowin.”

Rated eleven to twenty are the following. “Doble Kara,” “The Big One,” “A Love To Last,” Miss Universe the Philippines” (Live via GMA), “It’s Showtime,” “Langit Lupa,” The Greatest Love,” “Eat Bulaga,” “Ika-6 na Utos,” “Trops,” “Pinulot Ka lang sa Lupa,” “Meant To Be,” “Hahamakin ang Lahat,” and “Pinoy Big Brither Lucky Season 7.”

ABS-CBN’s “Ang Probinsyano” ranked first on the national TV ratings with a rating of 37.4 percent versus GMA’s “Encantadia” which got 28 percent. The results of the TV ratings also show ABS-CBN’s “A Love To Last” dominating its rival show, GMA’s “Meant To Be.” The new Bea-Ian soap got 17.1 percent while “Meant To Be” got 12.7 percent. This is a surprising result considering “A Love To Last” premiered on Jan 9, just a few weeks ago.

Kantar Media national TV ratings also reveal that there were more viewers who were tuned in to ABS-CBN during the 65th Miss Universe ABS-CBN got 27.4 percent while the GMA had 17 percent.
