Fans afraid that ‘La Luna Sangre’ ends up like ‘Pangako Sa’yo’

The latest episode of the fantasy-drama soap opera “La Luna Sangre” is currently on the breach of hitting the highest point of the story. And in revelation of this, they introduced the character who will literally change the lives of our protagonists Malia (Kathryn Bernardo) and Tristan (Daniel Padilla). Soon, we see her clicking her high heels and wearing her blood-red lipstick– it’s Jacinta Magsaysay (Angel Locsin).

Now on a good note, most of the first tweets were in praise of great storytelling and plot build. But soon after, some fans grew weary of the actress’ participation in the series.

Dating back to 2010, the actress starred in a similar teleserye called “Imortal.” And according to the producers of “La Luna Sangre,” it is somewhat associated with each other– this is where Mateo and Lia’s story originated. So it’s no wonder if you’ll see Angel appearing a few times in the show.

Some fans found this unpleasant though. And as per these fans, they’re terrified that this wolf-vampire series would end up like KathNiel’s “Pangako Sa’yo” where Amor (Jodi Santamaria) practically grabbed the limelight from the two.

Angel Locsin tweets haters

Angel Locsin was probably bewildered when fans started tweeting to her on a Thursday morning, saying all kinds of accusations. Who wouldn’t? They were all throwing blames and warnings that she shouldn’t even think about starring the show.

In response, the actress gave them a piece of her mind– yet calmly replied to every tweet she found needing one. In one tweet, she told a fan: “Nung pilot super thank you ka’yo sakin for supporting [KathNiel], ba’t galit na galit ka ngayon? Lahat ba nang artistang makakasama nila iba-bash mo?”

Angel did tell the fans that she’s simply participating in the show and taking the main role is far from her plans. She emphasized being only ‘asked’ and ‘invited’ to the production– nothing more. But creator of “La Luna Sangre” Henry King Quitain clarified to PEP, that Angel is very much a major character on the show, and not simply a guest.
