When someone does something originally for the first time and time comes someone else has to do it, comparison is surely inevitable. This is the case between “Lobo” and “Imortal” star Angel Locsin and her successor, “La Luna Sangre” star Kathryn Bernardo. For the record, Angel has set things straight: There is no need for Kathryn to feel any pressure for the role. This happened on Tuesday night, June 6, during the grand press conference of “La Luna Sangre” at the Dolphy Theater.
Angel Locsin says ‘Huwag naman’
On May 31, in an interview with PEP, teen star Kathryn Bernardo admitted that she feels the pressure of taking over Angel’s role. Who wouldn’t? As we all remember, Angle’s dramatic performance in “Lobo” earned her a Best Actress nomination in the International Emmy Awards in 2009. That’s a whole lot of talent. We are all moved by the star actress’s humility.
During the grand press conference of the cast on ABS-CBN, when asked about the low-key comparison and pressure, Angel responded defending Kathryn and Daniel. She urged fans not to compare. At their age, Daniel and Kathryn have already achieved a lot. The star added that she is happy to surrender the role to the two because she believes on what they can do.
When asked for a piece of advice she could give Kathryn and Daniel, the actress responded that the two young actors must always think of their safety firsthand. This is in line with the fight scenes and stunts the action romance show will require them to do.
On the other hand, Kathryn and Daniel admitted that they feel really honored for the approval they got. Kathryn gratefully said that she felt honored that the original Lobo star, Angel, gave them a thumbs up. Having their blessing to take on this role motivates them more.

With such overwhelming number of views, we are certain that indeed, “La Luna Sangre” is a much-awaited show. We, too, can’t wait to see its pilot episode!
“La Luna Sangre” is set to air on June 19 on ABS-CBN’s primetime bida.
