It’s only been the second day of 2018, and yet we can say that it’s turning out to be a good one! Success is reachable, love isn’t a lie, and K-pop fans are expecting dashing visitors to come over to Manila. Check out some good news over the first 48 hours of 2018:

Angel Locsin, Neil Arce in love for the long haul?

On the first hours of 2018, the two lovebirds posted on their Instagram accounts just how content and eager they are in pushing their relationship to a marathon heading toward ‘forever’– as Neil would say.

On Angel’s account, she shared a photo of them staring lovingly at each other on Queenstown, New Zealand. This photo was during the Anne Curtis-Erwan Heussaff wedding on November. On this post, she captioned: “Falling in love with you was the best part of my 2017… Excited to share 2018 with you.” Aside from this, she has photos of them littered on her account– posts of them together all throughout 2017.

Meanwhile, Neil wasn’t afraid to show off his feelings for Angel. On an Instagram post, he says: “My 2017…2018..2019… and sabi nga niya pag galingan ko… my forever… Don’t worry gagalingan ko!!! I Love you.” The poker master is evidently smitten and we’re all for it.

While the couple may not be ‘official’ just yet, fans have shown their support for Angel’s newfound love– and hopefully, it’s the everlasting one.

Tim Yap goes public on hidden Christmas Wedding with Javi Martinez Pardo

Love is in the air! And for more romantic good news to warm up that start of the year vibes, Filipino TV personality Tim Yap and his year-long fiance, Javi Martinez Pardo finally announce that they are actually married! Apparently, the couple intended on officially announcing it on the first of 2018.

Lea Salonga, who attended this hushed ceremony, posted on her Instagram account a touching photo of the newly-wed and their sticky gazes. On her caption, she reveals that they were wed on Christmas day of 2017 in New York. Tim Yap had also posted on his account a snapshot of them holding hands in front of a Christmas Tree.

MMFF Entry ‘Deadma Walking’ might get Extended Run after MMFF

The Metro Manila Film Festival 2017 has had quite an interesting mix of genres. One of which is the comedy-drama film directed by Julius Alfonso, ‘Deadma Walking.’ This film stars Edgar Allan Guzman and Joross Gamboa on an unlikely adventure.The film bagged the Best Supporting Actor award and Best Float. It was also graded A by the Cinema Evaluation board, according to this report.

The report also states that because of its warm reception, it’s possible that it will still be showing in cinemas beyond the MMFF schedule. After all, it just got offered in more than 70 more cinemas. So, if you’ve still got time and a few bucks to spare, watch it!

K-pop Band ‘JBJ’ to visit Manila for the first time

This may sound new to some Filipino Korean-pop fans, but the band ‘JBJ’ is a South Korean project of six members that are making their way up to become more than just another K-pop boy band.

So far, the group has a record of selling out their tickets and albums in a flash– like minutes-fast. And for their 2018, Manila Bulletin reports that they will be coming over to greet Filipino fans. In the report, JBJ member Noh Tae Hyun announces in a group video message: “To the many fans that have given us, JBJ, a lot of love, we are very thankful to you. For we, JBJ, are finally having our first fan meeting in Manila.”

Fans better not miss this chance because by the time the year ends, they might just have a hard time getting their autographs.
