5 Things to Know About Angel Pua, Filipina Crowned Miss Belgium 2018

Diversity in Beauty pageants has definitely become some sort of a trend– half this and half that. But what matters most is the heart that every participant pours into her work. And that’s exactly what Angeline Flor Pua has to offer. Reigning as Miss Belgium 2018, she is set to participate in this year’s Miss World and Miss Universe 2018 to represent her country. Although to some it may be odd that the Filipino blood is running through her veins, her confidence in herself appears to be the more important factor.

5 Things to Know About Miss Belgium 2018 Angel Pua

1. Angel speaks 3 languages. According to a Wikipedia profile, Angel’s father is a sailor and her mother works at an ironing shop in Belgium. Her parents taught her to speak English and Filipino– and since she grew up in Antwerp, she had to learn Dutch too. Other than this, Asia Times reports that she also understands French.

2. She won two other Crows. In 2016, she was victorious as Miss Filipina Europe– an event held at Vienna, Austria. A year later, she bagged the Miss Antwerp title which enabled her to participate in the Miss Belgium pageant.

3. Angel’s training to become a pilot. Most people would assume that with her height and eloquence, Angel would be qualified as an excellent Flight Attendant. But you’d be surprised to know she’s actually more interested in getting behind the wheel. In a short video where she demos a day in her life, Angel reveals that she’s a student at the Ben Air Flight Academy (BAFA).

4. She owns a pug named Bobby. It was also revealed in her short video that she owns a pet pug named Bobby– whom she likes to call her ‘love.’

5. Angel likes baking. In her Missosology profile, it says that her hobbies include baking and traveling. Traveling seems to be an obvious fact as she’s interested in aviation and flying high in the sky, but the baking sounds pretty neat.

Angel Pua was crowned Miss Belgium last January 13, 2018, at the Plopsa Theater, De Panne Belgium. She’s now on her way to some rigorous training as she will be participating in the Miss Universe 2018, and Miss World 2018.
