Ten-year-old Filipino-American Angelica Hale has been wowing the judges and viewers of America’s Got Talent since the auditions. And in her finale performance at the show’s grand finale Tuesday night, she receives yet another standing ovation for her rendition of Clean Bandit’s Symphony.

Accompanied by violins, the young singer sang her own version of the hit song. Despite departing from the song’s upbeat tempo, she still slayed her performance, hitting impressive high notes towards the end.

The young singer captured the judges’ heart when she auditioned with a heart-rending performance of Rise Up. Aside from her singing chops, her backstory also caught everyone’s attention. When she was much younger, she almost died because of double pneumonia. She was given a second lease in life when she received a kidney from her own mother. Since she has gotten better, she has been using her talent to help raise funds for hospitals who treat young children.

She received a Golden Buzzer during another round of performances, from judge Chris Hardwick, catapulting her to the live shows. From then on, she has been one of the show’s favorites. This is also not the only time that Angelica has gotten a standing ovation – she also got one after performing David Guetta’s Without You in last week’s live show.

Up Against Great Artists

This year’s roster of finalists, however, is said to be among the best ever seen on the show. According to Fox News, the finale show reached “epic proportions” because of the impressive performances brought by most of the finalists.

Angelica Hale is going up against artists like ventriloquist extraordinaire Darcy Lynne, deaf singer Mandy Harvey and impressive singer-songwriter Chase Goehring.

After last night’s finale, it is now up to the viewing public to vote for their favorite artist or act. The winner of America’s Got Talent will be announced on Wednesday night (Thursday morning in the Philippines.)
