ABS-CBN’s “Maalalaala Mo Kaya” episode this Saturday relays the life story of teen actor Daniel Padilla’s mom, Karla Estrada. Angelica Panganiban plays the role of the singer-actress and host of “Magandang Buhay,” Karla, while Bailey May of Pinoy Big Brother 727 plays the role of her son, Daniel Padilla.

In a report by ABS-CBN, Karla Estrada said she was very thankful when she knew that Angelica Panganiban was playing her on MMK. She said, “Nung nalaman ko, nakausap ko siya, sobrang nag-thank you ako. Sabi niya excited siyang gawin, kasi lahat nung nabasa niya sa script ay nakukuwento sa kanya ni Daniel nung magkasama sila sa ‘Pangako Sa ‘Yo.” (When I heard the news, i talked to her (Angelica Panganiban) and said “thank you.” Angelica was so excited since everything she saw on the script she hear from Daniel when they worked together in “Pangaka Sa’yo.”

Filipino British teen Bailey May on the other hand, plays Karla Estrada’s son, teen actor Daniel Padilla. This isn’t the first time Bailey was likened to Daniel. Bailey did a cover of Daniel’s hit song, “Na Sa ‘Yo Na Ang Lahat” when he was twelve years old.

Earlier today on Instagram, Bailey posted a photo of him and Karla Estrada on set and captioned it saying, “It’s an honor to work with you Tita Karla Estrada, Guys don’t miss #MMKKarla this Sabado sa 8:30 p.m. Bailey as DJ.

Karla said the MMK story will focus on her life before showbiz and will not focus so much on her love story. It shows how she pursued her dream to become a singer and actress and the challenges she faced in pursuing that dream. Now, she is an acclaimed actress, TV host and singer. Karla Estrada will be opening for Grammy-winning jazz artist Patti Austin on February 3 in Cebu and in Quezon City on February 4 as confirmed by Yahoo!
