K-drama fanatics got the most thrilling news on Monday, July 17: Nam Joo Hyuk, star of Weightlifting Fairy, will be coming to Manila on September 23. Kapamilya star Anne Curtis, who is also a certified fan of the K-drama actor, could not help but rejoice at the news.

Upon hearing the news, Anne took to social media to share her joy. According to PEP, she also wished that one of her favorite Oppa will bring along actress Lee Sung Kyung, who plays Kim Bok Joo in the series.

Anne Curtis Is A Certified Kdrama Fan

Anne, a host in the local noontime show “It’s Showtime,” has been known as a certified fan of Korean drama. Aside from Nam Joo Hyuk, she is also a huge fan of Gong Yoo, the actor who plays the title role in another K-drama, Goblin. Last May, she even flew all the way to Hong Kong to join Gong Yoo’s fan meet.

In her Twitter post, she shows how excited she is: “Oh my gosh!!!!! Just read the news!!! Baby Boy Nam Joo Hyuk!!!! ???????????? I wonder if he’ll bring his baby girl!!!!! ????I love them both so much!”

Aside from watching Weightlifting Fairy, she also shared on social media that she has been watching other dramas such as Cheese In The Trap, which stars Kim Go Eun and Park Hae Jin. Weightlifting Fairy is currently being aired on ABS-CBN primetime. The actor is also the lead star in The Bride of Habaek, currently airing in Korea.

Nam Joo Hyuk To Meet Fans On September 23

According to Myx, local events and concert promoter Music Management Live head Rhiza Pascua shared the news about Nam Joo Hyuk’s first ever fan meet in the Philippines. Entitled Private Stage, it will be held at Kia Theater on September 23.

A similar announcement was made by the actor’s agency, YG Entertainment. He is also set to visit other cities such as Bangkok (September 16) and Taipei (October 8.) According to Soompi, instead of the usual fan meeting structure, the actor is planning a “special performance” for each event as well as meeting his fans. He wants to show his love for his international fans for their unending support.
