Assassin’s Creed’s Movie Cast Michael Fassbender Hopes Film Won’t Disappoint Fans

“Assassin’s Creed” starring academy award-nominated actor Michael Fassbender hits Philippine theaters on January 4. “Assassin’s Creed” is an action-adventure video-game series created by Ubisoft. The game appeared on the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and other popular game consoles. This film is just one of the many video games which turned into live action films. The gaming community of course make sure that they have a say on each live action film which makes “Assassin’s Creed” a film that is also sought after.

“Assassin’s Creed” is directed by Justin Kurzel. aside from Michael Fassbender, the movie also include stars Marion cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, Charlotte Rampling and Michael Kenneth Williams.

Michael Fassbender Hopes Film Won’t Disappoint Fans

Michael Fassbender is Callum Lynch and Master Assassin Aguilar de Nehra in the 20th Century Fox’s “Assasin’s Creed.” In an interview with the Business Mirror, he says playing two characters in one movie was interesting because they’re very different people. For Fassbender, this was his most physical role he’s had.

Fassbender further explains his attraction to is role as the Master Assassin and whether or not he is a gamer or not. It turns out that he met with Ubisoft Motion Pictures in 2011 and didn’t know so much about the game. When Ubisoft gave him a gist of the game Fassbender thought it was “fascinating.”

Fassbender revealed that he tried to play the game but he wasn’t really very good at it. But he realized that fans are very particular with the game’s historical detail and accuracy. It was then when Fassbender tells the Business Mirror, “Hopefully, we’re not going to let any fans of the games down because the great thing about gamers is that they have this passion for it.”

Michael Fassbender also starred in hit movies as the famous Magneto in the “X-Men:First Class,” “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” “X-Men: Apocalypse” and played “Steve Jobs” in which he got nominated in the Academy Awards for Best Actor. Catch the “Assassin’s Creed” in Philippine Theaters on January 4.
