Despite the controversy surrounding the show, Bagani manages to survive each episode. On April 3, the show’s hashtag #BAGANILakasVsLakam took the top trending spot in the Philippines. Fans of the show claim that the episode is better than fight scenes in other shows. Rayver Cruz boosted his way to the top. Netizens say that his acting was the best he gave so far.

Bagani Making Waves On Twitterverse

On the April 03 episode, Lakam (Matteo Guidicelli) tried to partner with the Taga-Laot (People of the Sea). He wanted them to fight against Lakas (Enrique Gil). But their “Bagani” or head leader declined the offer. Mayari (Sofia Andres) does not believe in the idea of fighting other tribes. 

Although the partnership was a failure, Lakam and Dumakulem (Makisig Morales) continued with the attack. They pushed to target Lakas and Ganda (Liza Soberano). Mid-fight, Mayari comes to stop the tribal war. Through her, all the Baganis realized that what they are doing is wrong. They come home with one of their tribesmen dead.

After which, the Babaylan (Religious Leader) to remind Lakas of his fate. Babaylan made Lakas choose between his duties and his love for Ganda. Meanwhile, Lakam is angry about him not winning the tribal war. Sarimaw (Ryan Eigenmann) came to Lakam. Is Lakam going to free Sarimaw from his imprisonment?

After the show aired, the fans filled Twitter with high remarks on the episode. Most are good comments on the visual effects and the fight scenes. A Twitter user even said that there are scenes that he never saw in the KathNiel show “La Luna Sangre.”

Another Twitter user pointed out the warrior faces that the characters all had.

Lakam himself, Matteo Guidicelli reached out through his Twitter account. He roots for his own character, of course.

Mark Angos, the writer of the show, teased that more things will unravel throughout the show’s next episodes.
