Baguio City April 2018 Events: Art, Poetry, Comedy And More

It’s summer time in the Summer Capital and there are many events lined up for art and photography, poetry and many more. Baguio City brings you some interesting events to participate in this April 2018.

Baguio events April 2018: Everything Poetry

Sessions Hub Cafe on Session Road, near Sky World Commercial Center is holding a Poetry Jam on April 7. The theme for this jam is Summer FUN, Summer LOVE. It brings together local Baguio poets, either experienced or newbies. The jam starts at 7 p.m.

Mt. Cloud Bookshop located in Casa Vallejo is working with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources on a Poem-Writing Contest in celebration of International Earth Day. Residents from Baguio and Benguet are encouraged to submit original poems in English or Filipino. The poem must cover the theme “End Plastic Pollution,” and should be between 6 to 8 stanzas, with 4 lines each stanza. Entries should be sent via email before April 13. For The Love Of Art And Photography

Cafe by the Ruins Dua hosts another art exhibit called Fauna Graphy. Four young Baguio artists will exhibit their works of art showcasing the wonderful creatures who are part of the animal kingdom. The exhibit opens on April 29, Sunday, at 5 p.m.

Sessions Hub Cafe is also hosting a photo exhibit of wedding and portrait photography by JD Pascual on April 14, from 3 to 6 p.m.. The photographer will also share his insights and experiences in photography, as well as give away a free ticket to this photography workshop.

Comedy Baguio Celebrates One Year

Comedy Baguio marks its first year anniversary with a special presentation on April 7, at 8 p.m. at Moe’s at Happy Glen Loop Road. The show features comedians from Comedy Manila and Comedy 5-0, which includes James Caraan, winner of It’s Showtime’s Funny One. Tickets are priced at P250.
