Bianca has long been known to be a proud morena. So when she posts her opinion about the whitening business and product endorsements, having a bit of a serious tone cannot be helped. Her tweet reached 1,100 likes which got retweeted 139 times. Bianca acknowledged that the whitening business is profitable and provides thousands of jobs. She, however, laments over how products are endorsed. In another tweet, she expresses that if she knows that an “endorsement is an endorsement,” she is all for “celebrating the natural skin tone” people are born in. Bianca Gonzales is not against Morenas who Whiten their Skin Bianca has made it clear that she has nothing against morenas who choose to whiten their skin. She says it is a personal choice emphasizing that she is not putting anyone down. This is simply her opinion. Interestingly enough, the comments posted in Bianca’s tweet are enlightening. The issue of bullying surfaced, as well as putting blame on the whitening industry instead on celebrities. Nadine Lustre is mentioned in the comment feed of Bianca’s tweet. Although Bianca did not specify any celebrity in her posts, some of those who commented mentioned Nadine Lustre’s name. One user said that maybe celebrities need more money so they agree to endorse whitening products just like Nadine when “her mom had cancer.” Another said that she saw Nadine in her flight without any make up on. According to the comment, Nadine is definitely “not fair” nor is she “dark-skinned.” She is definitely morena. One user expressed exasperation at how people would connect the issue to Nadine. Annoyed by what was read, the user asked others what their problem is with Nadine. The user even hopes that those who commented about Nadine trip over something. (“Madapa sana kayo!”) To tie up loose ends, Bianca says “No hate for anyone!” She is just saying that it would be “nice to have more morenas show fellow morenas that they’re proud of their skin.” I know the whitening biz is profitable and provides work for thousands, but I can't help but feel sad when a morena chooses to endorse one. — Bianca Gonzalez (@iamsuperbianca) July 29, 2017 I know an endorsement is an endorsement, a great platform, I'm just all for celebrating the natural skin tone you're born in, fair or dark. — Bianca Gonzalez (@iamsuperbianca) July 29, 2017 Exactly. No hate for anyone! Kanya kanya talaga. But it'd nice to have more morenas show fellow morenas that they're proud of their skin. ❤ https://t.co/63MhggprSF — Bianca Gonzalez (@iamsuperbianca) July 29, 2017 Facebook Comments
