Taeyang And Min Hyo-rin Possible Wedding Date Revealed, Jong-hyun Memory Photo On Twitter

Two big stories in one day: one good news and one bad news. Taeyang of South Korean boy band Big Bang and actress Min Hyo-rin are engaged. The official announcement was made on Monday. No official announcements on the date has been made but reports say it will be on February 3. Taeyang posted a heartfelt message on Instagram making it official for fans. The sad and unfortunate news: Johnhyun of the South Korean boy group SHINee passed away on Monday with suspected suicide as the cause of death.

Dong Youngh-bae, popularly known as Taeyang in Korea and SOL in Japan is a South Korean singer. He made his debut in 2006 as part of the South Korean boy band Big Bang. They are one of the best-selling digital group of all time in Asia and one of the best-selling boy bands in the world according to a Wiki profile. Taeyang pursued a solo career in 2008. He released his first EP called, “Hot” which won Best R&B and Sould Album at the 6th Korean Music Awards.

Jung Eun-ram with stage name Min Hyo-rin, on the other hand, is an actress, model, and singer. She did her singing debut in 2007, acting debut for a TV series in 2009 and became a regular cast member on Sister’s Slam Dunk in 2016. She and Taeyang have been together since 2014 and went public in 2015. They met through Taeyang’s “1AM” music video.

A report by AllKpop confirms the news that the two are now engaged and are scheduled to wed in February. Min Hyo-rin’s label said they are indeed getting married but haven’t set a date yet. A separate report says media outlets have reported that the big day is happening on Feb 3. YG Entertainment didn’t deny the reports but said they would make an official announcement soon.

Meanwhile, on a sad note, singer of K-Pop group SHINee Kim Jong-hyun passed away on Monday, Dec 18. According to Yonhap News, the singer was found unconscious at a rented studio apartment in Cheongdam-dong in Southern Soula at 6:10 pm. It was his sister who made the 119 call at around 4:42 pm. She believed her brother was committing suicide saying she received a text from Jong-hyun that said, “Please let me go. Tell me I did well,” and “Final farewell.”

Jong-hyun was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead after performing CPR. The report says the K-pop singer believe to have died from inhaling toxic fumes from coal briquettes burnt on a frying pan found in the apartment.
