5 Most Iconic BTS Performances: Billboard Music Awards, The Voice, And More

South Korean boyband BTS continues to dominate, leaving a lasting impression in the U.S as they continue with their worldwide tour. BTS spent time on stage and performed recently on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and The Voice. They’ve also performed on America’s Got Talent, Good Morning America, American Music Awards and the Billboard Music Awards.

The ‘Bangtan Boys’, popularly known as BTS is composed of seven members namely Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. The group came together in 2013. As of 2019, BTS is the first and only Korean act to top the U.S Billboard 200 with their album ‘Love Yourself: Tear’ that came out in 2018. For their world tour ‘Love Yourself’, the K-Pop band performed in Nagoya, Japan, Singapore, and Fukuoka, Japan, for the remaining days, BTS will perform in Hong Kong and Bangkok, Thailand ending the tour on April 7, 2019. If you haven’t heard of BTS, well, you may have been living under a rock. 1. BTS on The Voice

K-Pop sensation BTS hit the stage of The Voice Season 16 Finale with a performance one will never forget. With all the flashing neon lights, confetti and screaming crowd, BTS’s performance of their hit single ‘Boy with Luv’ blew the crowd away. The group danced like they never did before, showing their impeccable choreography and captivating vocals, that led them to be one of the biggest names in K-Pop history. The NBC reality competition series has BTS to thank for an electrifying performance on May 21. The video on YouTube reached 3.1 million views.

 2. BTS sings Boy With Luv on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert

BTS’s recent success has resulted in the inevitable comparison to the Beatles. On May 15, Stephen Colbert decided to mix things up a bit to reminisce the past making the studio look like the 1900s inviting BTS to perform. All seven members of BTS dressed up like the infamous band Beatles paying tribute to the Fab Four on the Late Night Show and performed ‘Boy With Luv’, which can be found on their new EP Map of the Soul: Persona. The video hit 6.5 million views on YouTube.

3. BTS sings “Idol” on America’s Got Talent

On America’s Got Talent Season 13, host Tyra Banks hinted that they would spice things up a bit. She teased that the biggest boy band would perform on AGT’s stage. On September 12, 2018, BTS took center stage and performed their song ‘Idol.’ The performance featured the band delivering a number of highly-choreographed moves while they danced to the beat. The video got 12 million views on YouTube.

4. BTS on Good Morning America

BTS kicked off Good Morning America’s 2019 Summer Concert Series in Central Park on May 15 performing their hit singles ‘Boy With Luv’ and ‘Fire.’ Fans were thrilled to see the band after camping out for days in Central Park just to see their favorite boy band. BTS became the first-ever K-Pop band to appear on GMA last year. BTS’ performance seen on YouTube got 3.5 million views on YouTube.

5. BTS sings DNA on American Music Awards

The Band Performed their song DNA live at the AMA’s in 2017. The BTS’s army of followers was ecstatic to hear the news that their favorite boy band would play on stage. According to The AMAs, BTS said, that they are excited to be invited to the event to perform on the stage for the first time.
