Bangtan Boys, BTS

ARMY, this is not a drill! Even though BTS recently wrapped up its WINGS tour, the boys seem to be staying busy. In the span of 24 hours, the Kpop group surprised their fans with two gifts. First, the Bangtan Boys created new logos for the group and for ARMY. Second, the channel for Seo Taiji released a music video of BTS’ remake of “Come Back Home.” The video already has over 16,000 views in just 2 hours! The boys definitely seem excited about showing their fans their new identity. And it looks like their fans are just as excited as the boys!

New Logos For BTS And ARMY

Just a few hours ago, BigHit Entertainment dropped a new logo animation video for BTS on their YouTube channel. The video begins with the words “SEE YOU THERE” over a black background. It then reveals two new logos, one for BTS and one for ARMY. If you look at the social media of BTS, you can see that the new logos have replaced the old ones. That includes their website, fancafe, Facebook, group Twitter, Instagram, and other platforms.

According to Soompi, a member of BTS on Twitter explained that the logo represents a new brand identity. He explained that the logos are meant to show “an image of [BTS] and ARMY connected as one.” Amazingly, the logos actually fit together. If you place the ARMY logo below the BTS logo, you can connect them. Like ARMY and BTS, the logos complete each other.

BTS Releases Music Video ‘Come Back Home’

Aside from the new logos, BTS also dropped a music video for their remake of the hit “Come Back Home” two hours ago. Seo Taiji and the Boys, the original artists of the song, have been teasing BTS’ cover for the past few days. Their channel uploaded two versions of the cover, one clean and one explicit, as part of their Time : Traveler project.

The Bangtan Boys made the song into their own and you can definitely hear their unique style in the lyrics. According to AllKPop, Rap Monster and j-hope “personally took part in remaking the rap for BTS’ cover.” The video features the boys in different locations, some in the woods and some in the city. They all seem troubled and the muted colors of the video add to the dystopian feel. Strange violent scenes add to the feeling of despair and the need to “come back home.”
