Cafe Yagam is among the winners of Google Business Group (GBG) Stories Search 2017 making a mark for Baguio City and the Cordilleras. Because of this, Ms. Poleen Carla Rosito, owner of Café Yagam, will be attending the prestigious 2018 Goggle I/O, the annual developer conference held by Google in San Francisco, California.
GBG Stories Search 2017 People’s Choice Winner is Khalti.com of Nepal while the Top 3 GBG Stories who won by means of voting are Cafe Yagam, Virtualahan (Philippines), and Riliv.co (Indonesia). Cafe Yagam is more than grateful for how the community for all the support that has brought Cafe Yagam thus far.
What’s next for Cafe Yagam?
Café Yagam is definitely pushing social media advertising even more now with GBG Baguio. Ms. Carla said that she and the café are currently preparing for a video that GBG Global will produce for all four winners. This video will include photographs of locations that are significant to her, as well as cultural dance performances which is another passion of hers being a performer herself. They are also launching new coffee concoctions and bringing back their Bugnay juice – a product of her auntie in Kalinga who owns Ryans Farm. Cafe Yagam is currently looking for people to train to join their kitchen and bar staff.
Carla Rosito will attend next year’s Google I/O at the Google Headquarters. Google I/O stands for “input/output” and is most reflective of their slogan, “Innovation in the Open.” Every year, the conference features intensive sessions on building web, mobile and enterprise applications with Google and other open source software like Android, Chrome, Chrome OS, the Google Web Toolkit, App Engine and so much more. Such web tools have contributed much to the success of those who made it to the GBG Stories Search.
