Many of our favorites posted swoon-worthy wedding pictures. It feels like we were at the wedding as well. Those who tied the knot in January 2018 are Maxene Magalona, Michelle Ortega, Kara David, and even Kris Aquino’s Yaya Raquel. Each of them had different ceremonies but all filled with love. They had their friends, family in attendance. One wedding even had the President in attendance.
Maxene Magalona
Actress Maxene Magalona married musician Robby Mananquil las January 11. The ceremony was held on the island of Boracay. Maxene stunned everyone when she walked down the aisle wearing a Vera Wang wedding dress. It was a beautiful, simple and elegant Odelle bridal dress. Maxene also had her late father, Francis Magalona’s locket on her bouquet. It was her “something old” for her wedding.
According to Inquirer, it was a star-studded guest list. Among the guests were Megan Young, her sister Lauren, and her boyfriend Mikael Daez. Tim Yap was also in attendance and he documented the wedding on his Instagram. Robby proposed to Maxene last year during their Japan trip. Now they are officially husband and wife.
Duterte Attends Wedding of Former Actress Michelle Ortega
Former actress and singer Michelle Ortega married Police Director Gregorio “Greg” Pimentel. The ceremony was held in Baguio City last January 10. It was an elegant garden wedding at the Manor, Camp John Hay. She wore a blush pink, off-shoulder long-sleeved gown with an extravagant train. The dress was a Val Taguba design.
At the moment Michelle is an assistant secretary for the Department of Social Welfare and Development meaning she had a guest list filled with political figures. One of them included President Rodrigo who attended the wedding. Other politician attendees included are Special Assistant to President Bong Go, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II and Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos, Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, and Agusan del Norte Governor Ma. Angelica Rosedel M. Amante-Matba.
Yaya Raquel Ties the Knot
Sure, Raquel Luntayao is not really a celebrity but she is a celebrity Yaya. Kris posted on Instagram, congratulating Raquel. She also posted a mini teaser for the wedding ceremony. Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista officiated the wedding ceremony. Unlike other weddings on this list, the guest list was small. She tied the knot with Junaries Confesor in a civil wedding ceremony last January 10 at the Quezon City Municipal Hall.
Kris Aquino and her son Bimby were close to Raquel. Bimby most especially was not ready for his Yaya to leave. According to Pep.ph, Kris had to have a heart to heart talk with her son about why the people he loves have to leave. During the wedding of Bimby’s Yaya Gerbel, Raquel’s sister, he made a scene. But this time, Bimby did not cry during the ceremony.
Kara David Marries LM Cancio
Kapuso journalist Kara David and married singer-songwriter LM Cancio are officially married. The wedding ceremony was held in Kara’s hometown of Betis, Pampanga. Their colleague, Sandra Aguinaldo posted on Instagram a glimpse of the wedding. Many of their friends took to social media as well to gush about the wedding. On Twitter, Mariz Umali called the wedding “beautiful and solemn.”
According to Pep.ph reporters in attendance were Oscar Oida and MJ Marfori, Mariz Umali and Raffy Tima, Tina Panganiban-Perez, Aubrey Carampel-Aricheta, Sandra Aguinaldo, and Nelson Canlas. During the reception, LM performed a song he wrote for Kara, who was now his beautiful wife.
Desiree del Valle Gets Married in California
Kapamilya stars Desiree del Valle and Boom Labrusca have tied the knot! The couple got married on January 14. But before the wedding, the couple spent their honeymoon overseas. They went to Dubai, Las Vegas, Hollywood, Vacaville, Daly City, and San Francisco. Their last destination was South Lake Tahoe City, California for their wedding ceremony.
Desiree and Boom have been engaged for quite some time. The two officially announced their engagement back in 2015. Now the couple shared a photo of them saying their vows while looking lovingly at each other in front of a scenic view.
