Charice Pempengco, Alyssa Quijano

International singer Charice Pempengco and live-in partner Alyssa Quijano have just broken up. Charice and Alyssa have been together since 2013 and reports say it has been a week since the breakup.

Charice Pempencgo’s interview with Ellen DeGeneres jumpstarted her international career when she was invited to perform in 2007. Her popularity earned her a duet with popular singers like Celine Dion and David Foster. It also earned her a role in the hit TV show, “Glee.” The 24-year-old singer came out as a lesbian in 2013 during an interview with Boy Abunda on “The Buzz.” It was no secret then that she was in a relationship with Alyssa Quijano in Laguna.

Charice Pempengco and Alyssa Quijano Breakup, 3 Things We Know

A report by the Philippine Star confirms the breakup of Charice and Alyssa. Not much has been revealed since there are no official announcements from either of the parties. The report says it was speculated that money was the reason for the breakup. Here’s what we know so far.

1. Alyssa packed her bags and left their apartment

The report says it has been a week since Charice and Alyssa’s breakup. It was Alyssa though who packed her bags and left their apartment according to PEP. Apparently, she also took some things that weren’t hers. Point is, she was the one who left Charice.

2. Charice now lives with a fan in Laguna

It has been a week since the breakup as reports say. Since then, Charice has been living with a fan in Laguna as the Philippine Star confirms. No information as to who this fan is.

3. Charice to leave showbiz, cancelled KIA concert

PEP reached out to Charice and her manager, Jed Velasco, to get more information on the breakup only to find out that he and Charice went their separate ways a year ago.

Jed said he heard that Charice cancelled her KIA concert entitled, “Charice: End Of Chapter Rock Concert” which was set on March  24. The concert did not push through because of an unknown reason says PEP.

It seems Charice has indeed thrown the towel in showbiz. On March 9, she posted on Twitter a message that could mean the end of her career. She said, “Happy for what I’ve achieved, for what I’ve become, for making people happy. I’ll just leave it like that. I’m tired now.”
