Captain America is melting the hearts of many with just one tweet. Chris Evans took to Twitter a photo of him and his dog Dodger captioned “One Month Away.” Apparently, the superhero was counting down to the days he would be reunited with his adopted pup. The cutest thing ever. If you’re not a Chris Evans fan, this would probably change your mind.
Back in April, People reported that the 36-year-old actor adopted a dog he named Dodger while filming his movie, “Gifted.” Evans said they were filming the last scenes for the movie in a pound. He walked in the pound and wondered if the pups were actually up for adoption. When he knew for sure that they were, he saw this one dog who he said, “didn’t belong there.” He called him a sweetheart, took him in and named him Dodger. They’ve been partners and everyone’s favorite ever since.
In July, people got so worried and thought that Dodger passed away just two months after he was adopted. All thanks to Chris’ tweet seen below. He said, “Really missing this guy right now.” That and a photo of him and Dodger. Fans jumped to the conclusion that Dodger died. Chris then posted another tweet clarifying that Dodger was alive and well and was just thousands of miles away for the next couple months. Whew!

Just almost a month after that, the 36-year-old posted a heartwarming tweet on Tuesday, August 1. Here are some of the thousands of comments we thought are worth sharing. One dog lunatic like Chris said that fact that the actor was counting down to the days to get back to his baby is killing him. Another said he’s never met Dodger but he was already starting to miss him too.
One fan said, “Find someone who talks and tweet about you as much as Chris Evans tweets about Dodger.” Another saw the bond Chris and Dodger had and said. “Just a boy and his dog. The love is strong with these two.” That came with a photo of Snoopy and Charlie Brown.
Now, fans are just waiting for a picture or video for when he finally reunites with Dodger. Well, just a month away guys. Let’s see if Chris Evans would actually film Dodger greeting him once he goes home. That would just be a whole new level of cuteness.
