Cine Europa Now Screening In Baguio From October 10 to 15

Cine Europa is now in Baguio

Cine Europa has come to the City of Pines and will be screening twenty-one European films from 16 countries marking the 20th anniversary of the Cine Europa Film Festival. In Baguio, these films will be shown at the Baguio Museum, the University of the Cordilleras, and Balanghay ni Ikeng at Ili Likha Artist Village. Admission is free and open to the public.

Cine Europa has grown to be a dynamic festival as stated by Philstar Global. It was born out of the friendship between the Philippines and the European Union in 2007 advocating the promotion of cultural diversity. This year the festival features the best contemporary and classic films from European countries Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and Norway.

Cine Europa Currently Screening Films in Baguio City

The featured European films from October 10 to 11 are “Sult” (Hunger), “Aniversarea” (The Anniversary), “I Solito Ignito” (Big Deal on Madonna Street), “Flickan Mamman Och” (The Girl, The Mother, and The Demons), “Perinbaba” (The Feather Fairy), “Utoelet” (Afterlife), “Veiviseren” (Pathfinder), and “Babette’s Gaestebud” (Babette’s Feast).

On October 12 to 13, Cine Europa will feature “Monkey,” and “Wilsonov” (Wilson City), “Truman,” “Deine Schonheit Ist Nichts Wert” (Your Beauty is Worth Nothing), “Lola Rennt” (Run Lola Run), “20 Sigarette” (20 Cigarettes), “Bolgen” (The Wave), “Andel Pane 2” (An Angel of the Lord), “Doua Lozuri” (Two Lottery Tickets), and “Souvenir.”

On October 14, Cine Europa will have a Reception Night at Baguio Museum which will then be followed by the film screening of “Terror Ihr Urteil” (The Verdict). In the last day on October 15, “De He Van ’63 (The Hell of ’63), “A Moving Image,” and “El Angel Exterminador” (The Exterminating Angel) will be shown.
