The group is literally taking Facebook by storm, with its 690,000 members and growing and as many as hundreds of posts from members each day.

1. The group was founded by the same person behind another popular community, the Let’s Eat Pare. According to an Esquire magazine feature, Mark del Rosario thought of creating a group that would allow members to reminisce about life in the 80s and 90s. The group has only been in existence for less than a month, but its membership has ballooned to over 600k since then.

2. Because the group calls for throwback posts about 80s and 90s culture, most of its members are those born in the 70s and early 80s. Generally called Generation X or Gen X-ers, they would have grown up and experienced the very unique culture of the 80s and 90s.

3. Del Rosario himself thinks that the reason for the group’s popularity is because of the “good vibes” it brings. Members get to remember the good old days, back when there was no Internet and social networks. A time when everything was done differently compared to now. He says he wants the group to “bring back good memories” and a “way to reconnect with people.”

4. Joining the group comes with a warning though – be ready to see your news feed flooded with Titos and Titas post. As soon as one joins, you can get as many as 10-20 within an hour.

5. What kind of posts will one get? Anything and everything about the 80s and 90s, from favorite TV shows and commercials, favorite gadgets like analog phones, beepers, to favorite food, restaurants and hangouts and even favorite popular culture icons.
