viral photo, couple's creepy selfie

A selfie of a couple has gone viral on Twitter since its posting on Thursday. At first, it looks like an ordinary photo of a young man and a young woman posing sweet smiles in front of the camera. Nothing extra special. But looking closely right behind the couple, one would notice that it shares a completely different story.

A user named “Andy” posted this interesting photo on Twitter on the morning of April 27. It has only been a day and it’s had around 85k likes and around 40k retweets. It shows the photo of a couple smiling and right behind them is a mirror. The “scary” thing is that the reflection of the young woman in the mirror shows her face instead of the back of her head which should be the logical thing. The photo was posted with the caption, “I love my girlfriend even if she’s a gemini.”

Couple’s scary selfie on Twitter goes viral, a joke?

The viral post has been calling much attention. Some are calling it creepy and some may have just cracked the mystery of the photo and figured out what it really is. Could it be some sort of a voodoo creepy magic trying to make people believe that this is indeed the work of an evil being? Or is just another photoshopped photo?

For starters, photoshopped or not, the photo gives anyone goosebumps as soon as one would figure out what’s wrong with the photo. But looking at the comment thread, one would come to the conclusion that indeed the photo is photoshopped. Some are even calling it a joke. The caption gives it away.

The caption says, “I love my girlfriend even if she’s a Gemini.” In the comment section, a user seems to hit the jackpot and said, “The joke is that geminis have “two face” or personalities, they are the twin sign. This is a doctored photo playing off that.”

This would explain why the young lady in the photo showed another face instead of the reflection of the back of her head in the mirror. There you have it. A viral photo that twists the mind and makes you think twice.
