However, knowing is very different from actually being honest. Thanks to Crispin Jasareno and Michael Mark Quimora, two janitors at the Batasang Pambansa complex, the Philippine society is encouraged to know that honesty is alive. Last week, Crispin and Michael returned cash amounting to P19,500 which they found at the Plenary hall on a seat of a congressman. Two Honest men, Crispin Jasanero and Micheal Quimora, given P500 for Good Deed The act of valor of these two regular Juans is one that is much needed as a major ice breaker to the present political atmosphere. Jasareno, 36, said that he never thought of keeping the money for himself. Crispin was cleaning up the hall when he found a bundle of 500-peso bills on the seat of Cebu Representative Jonas Cortes. Because he did not want to touch the money, he called Michael. Soon enough they both returned returned the cash to Cortes’ staff in his office and they were given P500 for snacks. When the staff member informed their boss of the money that was returned, their boss did not realize that the money got lost in the first place.
