Daniel Padilla Wants Kathryn Bernardo In Upcoming Movie With Vice Ganda And Pia Wutrzbach

Vice Ganda has been teasing his fans for his upcoming new comedy film for a year now. Finally, this untitled laughter-filled new movie has now been officially confirmed! Together with him, is the “Barcelona” star actor Daniel Padilla. In addition to this, former Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach will be taking an active role in the film. What a cast! What more if Daniel’s off and on-cam partner Kathryn Bernardo joined in?

Back in 2016, Vice Ganda posted a picture with 22-year-old Daniel Padilla. Together, the pair stood shoulder to shoulder, with friendly smiles at the camera. The caption read ‘Soon!!’

Instantly, everyone expected an upcoming film from the two that year. But, it seems the fans were expecting too early because instead, the “It’s Showtime” host released a film with “Ang Probinsyano” stars Awra Briguela and Coco Martin titled: “The Super Parental Guardians” in November that year.

Daniel Padilla insists Kathryn Bernardo will be part of the Pia-Vice movie

On May 5 this year, Vice Ganda told ABS-CBN that he is planning on joining the Metro Manila Film Festival this coming December. In the interview, he says he had been planning a tandem with Daniel Padilla until Star Cinema Head Malou Santos and director Olivia Lamasan approached him and suggested Pia Wurtzbach in the picture.

Immediately, the six-time Box Office star agreed, saying “Ay bongga din ‘yon. Gusto ko rin.”

According to Vice Ganda, when Pia Wurtzbach was asked if she was interested, she said yes.

On the episode of “It’s Showtime” last May 15, Vice Ganda officially announced the upcoming untitled film of him, Pia Wurtzbach and Daniel Padilla.There was no mention of Kathryn Bernardo yet. Are we expecting a surprise appearance from her?

During the Thanksgiving party for the successful Star Cinema film “Can’t Help Falling in Love” last May 11, stars Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo were asked about their participation in Vice Ganda’s film in an interview with ABS-CBN.

“Alam ko sa kanila ‘yon kasi ang tagal nang hindi natuloy. Pero if ever (matuloy) suporta tayo kahit nandoon ako or wala,” Kathryn commented.

“Malamang andun naman si Kat diba” says Daniel Padilla in the camera, cutting off Kathryn’s protests. Kathryn then paused and pointedly looked at her co-star and quietly spoke, as if it were only for him, saying “No no no no, it’s just you.”

To which, Daniel swooped in with an almost-kiss, as if shutting her off but Kathryn pulled away, earning a burst of giggles from the crowd.

Vice Ganda and Daniel Padilla’s first project together was the 2012 Comedy film entry Sisterakas. Wenn Deramas directed the film. Sisterakas also joined the MMFF that year. Kathryn Bernardo was part of the cast in the film.
