Star Magic artists Daniel Padilla and Paul Salas might just have a basketball game match soon. All thanks to a sort of heated argument they both had on Twitter about the recent Star Magic All-Star Game. Fans are now at the edge of their seats waiting for what happens next.
On Sunday, Aug 13, Star Magic held its Star Magic All Star Game at the Araneta Coliseum. Daniel was on the Red Team while JC was on the Blue Team which was headed by Gerald Anderson. JC had the ball while Daniel was trying to block the actor from passing it to his team mate. JC, who was in the heat of the game, accidentally pushed Daniel away which caused him to fall on the floor. Daniel immediately stood up, gave a smiling JC an angry look and just walked away. Check the video below posted by MJ de Leon, which went trending on YouTube.
The Better Half actor took to Twitter his apology to La Luna Sangre star. He asked for an apology saying he was carried by his emotions during an intense game. An earlier report by PEP said JC apologized to Daniel right after the game. Daniel, on the other hand, also apologized to JC and said there was no beef between them. It was just a competitive game and neither of them expected it to be that intense. JC’s team won 93-90.
Daniel Padilla and Paul Salas Twitter war
It all started when a netizen posted a photo of what happened between Daniel and JC. The caption joked around a bit likening Daniel to basketball star Stephen Curry and even said “swimming ka nalang.” This netizen tagged Paul Salas, Tomas Tan III, Shaun Rain, Jhon Jimwell, Jam Carandang, Daniel Tan, and Gab Sales. Moments after, Paul left a comment and said, “Curry na curry ba?”
This, of course, went viral. It got retweeted by numerous KathNiel fans daring Paul Salas’ camp to say these words straight to Daniel’s face. This also reached Daniel’s all-star team. Marco Gumabao took to Twitter what he thought of Paul Salas’ comment. It was then when the basketball game match came to mind. Marco said he was game for a 5 on 5 and tagged Paul in the same tweet.
Actor Anjo Damiles, also thought Paul Salas’ comment was a bit too far. He asked if he could join the game if ever it does happen. This eventually reached Daniel. He left a comment under Marco’s tweet asking if Paul and his comments were for real. He then made a separate tweet tagging Paul Andres himself and said, “Paul Andres Salas, ano? Sagot.” Paul retweeted Daniel’s post and took the challenge saying, “G, pa sched na kami ng court.”
Of course, behind these handsome guys are their gorgeous girlfriends. Kathryn Bernardo and Barbie Imperial just had to show support for their beaus. Kathryn tweeted a simple gif of Stephen Curry clapping and then smiling while giving a thumbs up. Barbie also tweeted saying she had Paul’s back and he knows Paul 100 percent.
