Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes

GMA-7 is on a roll with separate upcoming TV shows featuring Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes and a “tagalized” version of the Korean hit movie “Train To Busan” starring “Mulawin” actor Dennis Trillo.

Marian Rivera on new TV series, The Good Teacher

Dingdong Dantes’ wife, Marian, will make her big comeback on GMA Primetime through its new series called, “The Good Teacher.” Not much has been revealed as to the details of the show but according to PEP, Marian teased fans and said the show is meant for kids.

Marian has been on GMA 7’s Sunday noontime show “Sunday PinaSaya” since 2015. She is best known for TV shows like “Marimar” in 2007, “Dyesebel” in 2008 and more. Her last appearance on a TV series was a special participation in the 2016 remake of “Encantadia” which premiered in 2016.

Before Marian’s primetime comeback, she will be in the first episode of the GMA 7 sitcom “Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko.”

Dingdong Dantes on Alyas Robin Hood Book 2

Pepe De Jesus of “Alyas Robin Hood” returns on GMA 7 in “Alyas Robin Hood Book 2.” According to PEP, Dingdong continues his role as Pepe. Andrea Torres also comes back as Pepe’s love interest, Venus. Megan Young, however, will not be back on the show as her character was already killed in the last episode.

“Alyas Robin Hood” premiered in September 2016 and ended its 23-week run on Feb. 24 and was replaced by AlDub’s “Destined To Be Yours.” The show starring Dingdong Dantes created quite a controversy as it was likened to the American hit TV show “Arrow” starring Stephen Amell.

Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes’ new shows are set to hit TV screens in the second half of 2017. Exact dates as to its release will still be announced.

Dennis Trillo on Train To Busan Filipino version

Another GMA star is making headlines. Dennis Trillo, known for his role as Gabriel on “Mulawin” is set to do a “tagalized” version of the hit Korean zombie apocalyptic movie “Train To Busan.”

A report by PEP revealed that Dennis is set to take on the role of Gong Yoo who played Seok-Woo, a protective father who risked everything for her daughter.

On Instagram, Dennis posted a portion of the Filipino script and captioned it, “I’m a Tagalizer.” with the hashtags #dubsessions #gongyoo #traintobusan.
