In the March 9 Destined To Be Yours episode (Read March 9 episode here), Benjie (Alden Richards) chooses Sinag (Maine Mendoza) over Marjorie (Koreen Medina) to take to the ‘indakan’ or dance. At the dance, Sinag and Benjie continue their fake relationship to show Eboy (Mark Herras) and his new girlfriend, Clarissa (Lee Danes) that Sinag has moved on. Meanwhile, Marjorie is angry because of Sinag and Benjie’s relationship.Will Sungs and Yabs be convincing enough as a couple? Today’s episode hashtag is #DTBYBuking.
Destined To Be Yours March 10 Episode:
At the dance, Teddy (Gardo Versoza) talks to another person in Pelangi who plans on selling their land. Teddy then notices that Sinag and Benjie are dancing so close to each other. Unfortunately for the Sinag and Benjie, Teddy interrupts their dance and takes Sinag away from Benjie.
Meanwhile, Marjorie talks to a drunk Jason (Dominic Roco) and manages to get him to tell the truth. Jason reveals the truth that Sinag and Benjie’s relationship is fake and its only for the sake of showing Eboy that Sinag has moved on.
Eboy goes up to Benjie and tells him to take care of Sinag and says”Importante yan, kasi first love ko yan.” (She’s important, because she’s my first love). Eboy also adds that he’s happy that Sinag has finally found someone.
Marjorie Spills The Truth
Marjorie walks up to Sinag and her family full of confidence because of what she just learned. Sinag has no clue that Marjorie knows and goes on like the usual. Marjorie replies with “Ikaw problema ko, kasi inagaw mo si Benjie.” (You are my problem, you stole Benjie.) Of course, Sinag claims that Benjie is her boyfriend.
“That’s the biggest lie of the year” Marjorie says. Marjorie comes up on stage and exposes Benjie and Sinag’s fake relationship. She says “Sinasabi lang ni Sinag yun para di siya magmukhang loser sa harap ni Eboy.”(Sinag just says that because she doesn’t want to look like a loser infront of Eboy.)
Sinag Punches Eboy
Sinag is left embarrassed and in tears while her family and friends urge comfort her. Eboy runs up to her and asks her if what Marjorie said was true. Sinag admits to everything, telling Eboy “Dahil ayokong isipin mo na ikaw lang naka move on!” (I don’t want to think that you are the only one who moved on.)
Eboy asks Sinag if she really did love him, when he did Benjie almost punched him but was stopped by Sinag. Sinag punches Eboy instead. Unexpectedly, the crowd cheered for Sinag, instead of judging her. Benjie goes to Sinag to comfort her and Marjorie interferes, saying that Benjie doesn’t have to pretend anymore since she’s not really his girlfriend. Benjie says “Oo, totoong hindi ko girlfriend si Sinag, kasi hindi pa niya ako sinasagot.” (Yes, it’s true Sinag isn’t my girlfriend, because she hasn’t answered me yet.) The crowd again cheers for Sinag, but this time to say yes to Benjie.
Mayor Offers Scholarships For Land
The cheering was interrupted by Mayor Dante Escobar’s (Ronnie Henares) announcement about giving out scholarships to families who sell their land. Teddy disagrees and speaks out, claiming that the whole indakan was planned just for the announcement’s sake. Teddy encourages the people of Pelangi saying “Mga kababayan, lahat tayo dito, hinding hindi tayo magbebenta ng lupain natin!” (My fellow men, we will never sell our lot.)
The Mayor urges the people who agrees with him to come forward, and many of them did, leaving Teddy disappointed. The issue continues at home where Teddy says “Hindi niyo ba nakikita? Sinusuhol tayo para ibenta natin yung lupa natin sakanila.” (Don’t you see? They are selling us out?) Sol (Will Ashley), Sinag’s younger brother, gets affected since he wants to study in Manila and walks out on them.
Sinag talks some sense into her brother when he says “Selfish ba ako Ate? Selfish ba na gusto ko mag-aral sa Manila.” (Am I selfish? Is it selfish to want to study in Manila.?) Sinag reassures him that what he wants isn’t selfish at all.
Sinag And Benjie’s Past Revealed
Sinag goes out and sees the vendor of her beloved ice scramble (iskrambol) and buys one from him. At the same time, Benjie arrives and orders one too. Benjie gets to talking about his memories with scramble, and that’s when he was a kid he visited Pelangi and helped a lost girl and ate scramble with her. Sinag remembers the story and they both realize that the person they met when they were kids was each other. Sinag’s mystery hero was Benjie all along and the lost girl Benjie helped was Sinag. The pair fist bump like they did when they were kids.
Meanwhile, Arman (RJ Padilla), Ninay (Sheena Halili) and Badong (Juancho Trivino) are all together in the radio booth talking about Sinag and Benjie. Ninay and Arman call Badong ‘torpe’ for not being able to admit to Sinag his feelings for her.
The episode ends with Sinag and Benjie finding shelter from the rain in a nearby cave.
In the next episode, Teddy leads a protest against selling land.
Destined To Be Yours airs Mondays to Fridays on GMA at 8:30 PM right after Encantadia.
