Fashion goddess Donatella Versace grooves to “Versace on the Floor” with her luxurious Model Squad as a tribute to Grammy artist Bruno Mars. The luscious video features supermodels Natasha Poly, Hana Soukupova, Leonard Mushiete, Candice Swanepoel, Faretta, Binx Walton, Kiki Willems, Hiandra Martinez, Adrian Chabada Alexandra Micu, Mag Cysewska, Diletta Paci, Alpha Dia, and Jurriaan Seppenwoolde. All of them were gloriously dressed in some of the fashion house’s prime pieces.
In Donatella’s Instagram post, she lovingly says “To my special friend @brunomars”#VersaceOnTheFloor. She followed up with another post saying, “What a fun experience!” while standing amidst gorgeous models enjoying some downtime on the floor. And then, perhaps because she couldn’t get enough of the Versace-on-the-Floor experience, she posts another photo of her singing with her Versace squad.
Admiration = Donatella Versace and Bruno Mars
WMagazine states that this “isn’t the first time that Donatella and Mars have expressed their admiration for each other.” In the summer, before Bruno Mars performed “Milan,” he first took time to dedicate the song to the woman who “actually inspired” him. He was particularly pertaining to Donatella who was among those watching. “This is for you,” he said. After that, Donatella showed her appreciation for the gesture via Instagram. She posted a picture of Mars singing on stage that night and then said, “Thank you for tonight! What a great emotion.”
Versace dressed Bruno Mars in his appearances. According to Billboard, Mars impressed Versace with his incredible performance during the 2012 MET Gala. After that, Versace dressed Mars for his Super Bowl halftime show, in his 2015 VMA acceptance speech, and in his other music videos. Versace describes Bruno as being an “explosion on the stage, so energetic and so totally natural.”
