This started a series of aftershocks. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHILVOCS) recorded the first jolt at 8:58 PM and as of 1:00 AM, April 5, there were already 17 earthquakes in the said area. The latest recorded aftershock is early morning of April 5, at 6:41 AM with a 2.3 Magnitude. April 5 Early Morning, Latest Earthquake Recorded by Phivolcs In an updated posted by Phivolcs, the latest earthquake recorded is in the early morning of April 5, 6:41 AM. Phivolcs Reveals Earthquake Hit Tingloy Town In a report by CNN Philippines, Director Renato Solidum of Phivolcs revealed that the 8:58 PM tremor “hit 7km northwest of Tingloy Town.” Mostly churches and business establishments were damaged. Although Phivolcs assured that there is no tsunami threat, aftershocks will surely follow. The highest intensity Batangas City experienced is Intensity IV. The succeeding occurrences were lower.
