His cameo appearance drew a lot of attention on Twitter which may have just caused him to deactivate his Twitter account. Here’s what we know. In March, a report by TV Movie Fix says Ed Sheeran would guest star on GOT Season 7. This news came right after he dropped the highly-anticipated album “Divide.” Entertainment Weekly revealed that showrunner David Benioff said they were trying to get the singer on the show for years to surprise Maises Williams who plays Arya on the show. They finally pulled it off and although Arya must have felt really excited and happy about it, some fans don’t think it was the best idea. Ed Sheeran’s cameo appearance on GOT Season 7 The singer plays a Lannister soldier on Game Of Thrones. Arya just came back from a battle killing a lot of people and was on her horse riding through the forest. She then took the time to rest and met some soldiers in her journey and that’s when she saw Ed Sheeran, the unnamed soldier. Ed’s character offered Arya some cooked rabbit and that was that. Although his role was short, it was great that he was able to do what he does best, sing. Sheeran’s character sang a tune that was from the book itself. Now let’s take a look at how GOT fans thought of the singer’s cameo. One made a meme in reference to Ed’s last cameo on Bridget Jones’ Diary when he was in a club and said, “The club isn’t the best place to find a lover so the forest is where i go.” Another said, “Ed Sheeran was on Game of Thrones? Is this like the Glee Britney Spears episode?” One tweet just wondered how a man sounded like Ed Sheeran could possibly be in a show like Game Of Thrones. Another also showed a GIF of his face the moment he realized that the guy who sounded like Ed Sheeran was actually THE Ed Sheeran. Another tweet showed Arya and Ed having a conversation together. Arya tells the unnamed soldier that he sang a pretty song. She said she’s never heard it before. Ed answers by saying it is available on iTunes. Ed Sheeran hasn’t tweeted anything about it yet. How could he when he just deactivated his Twitter account? Yes, he did. Ed Sheeran’s cameo on Game Of Thrones Season 7 did create quite a stir on social media. But landing on one of the biggest TV series is still something everyone might have on their bucket list. Ed Sheeran just crossed that one out. .@EdSheeran talks playing a Lannister soldier and why he thought his character would die: https://t.co/XAAdQXIklx #GoTS7 pic.twitter.com/hVhId3KH6B — Game Of Thrones (@GameOfThrones) July 17, 2017 Game of Thrones & Ed Sheeran – Hands of Gold pic.twitter.com/dMiqcqW4dH — Wannart (@wannartcom) July 17, 2017 Facebook Comments
