The popular singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran has everyone hyped up over the newly released music video for “Galway Girl.” The song is just one of many in his recently released album, “Divide.” But what makes this extra special for both him and fans is that he shot the clips himself. You can’t see his face, but just Ed being the one who took the videos adds a little more of him to his music and the video.

This isn’t the first time “Galway Girl’ has its time in the spotlight. When the song first came out, it rose to the top of the charts easily. Now, it’s gaining more attention for being filmed in Galway, Ireland. This is a big deal because Sheeran had some help infusing the song with the Irish folk vibe from Beoga, an Irish band.

Galway Girl Filmed In Sheeran’s POV

The “Galway Girl” music video stuns in its own unique way with the shots in Sheeran’s point of view. It’s like looking into his life through his eyes and seeing his concerts and life as a celebrity. Concerts, autographs, parties, and of course exploring the place with his girl.

It’s a fun concept with a bit of comic in it as Sheeran does receive a punch in the face in the video. Though all is well and fun with the last romantic frame. That part of the video even shifts from his point of view and shows him with his girl overlooking a beautiful view.

At the end of the video, Sheeran gives special thanks to Galway, Ireland. He also thanked the town’s people in an Instagram post.

Thank you to Galway and all the wonderful people in it for helping us shoot a music video yesterday x
