Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Make no mistake: Milo Anzo, the host of the travel show “Lost Boy Adventures,” is no lost boy. At least, not anymore. The 26-year old Business Administration graduate of De La Salle College of St. Benilde plays the role as regular host and sometimes producer of the travel show on ABS-CBN Sports and Action channel. Nothing beats doing what you love and getting to travel around the country while doing it. Get to know Milo Anzo and “Lost Boy Adventures” in this Pilipinas Popcorn exclusive profile. Why ‘Lost Boy Adventures?’ In the show’s introduction, Milo describes it as not your ordinary travel show. Instead, it is a “travel show na may hugot,” referring to the one-liners or phrases that are deeply emotional because it comes from a “deep” place. “Hugot” lines most of the time refer to sad or hurtful experiences in love and life. When asked about why the show is named this way, he said that it came from his idea to look at travel as a form of escape from the hurt that has happened in one’s life. He admitted that being heartbroken was something he went through himself just a few months ago. He added that the story of heartbreak is everywhere and that most people can relate to it because it has happened to them too. So he thought, “Why not apply this to a travel show? A bit ironic, but most people I spoke with, they’d want to travel far, like to a remote island to find themselves.” He said this concept with his former producer and less than a year after, it got the green light. “Lost Boy Adventures” first aired on ABS-CBN Sports and Action and Studio 23 on November 26, 2016. Milo Anzo Shares How The Show Gets Done Lost Boy Adventures host Milo Anzo. The show’s first season ended last Saturday, so if you want to catch Milo, watch out for episode replays on The Lost Boy Adventures Facebook page and their YouTube channel. Milo shared to Popcorn that they will be starting production for their second season in two weeks time. For the first season, they continuously shot all 13 episodes in a matter of months. He even recounted they needed to stay in an island for 4 days to shoot nonstop for 1 episode, and in this case, it can be tiring. But he also said that he appreciates how the show is put together through teamwork. Usually, he suggests the places they can feature and if his producers agrees with him, they work on it. In terms of his style of hosting, he shared: “I always make my own spiels. As much as possible, and we’ve agreed on this together, we want everything to appear natural. It is always just as if I am talking to the audience. Like a kabarkada and not too choreographed. How I behave in the show is really me in person. It is a balance of funny (not too slapstick) and sensible.” Milo Anzo Shares Tips On Being A Travel Host Some people would say that Milo is living the dream – he works, gets paid and gets to travel to exotic places in the country at the same time. He said himself that this was “a dream come true.” When asked to share some tips to those who want to take the same path, he simply said, “If I can do this, you can too. Just keep on dreaming and help yourself. Let go of the negatives; it’ll be easier to run and chase your dreams.” Photos courtesy of Milo Anzo.
