Welcome back, Zhang Yixing! The rest of EXO finally reunited with their ninth member since Lay’s brief hiatus started in March. The singer and actor returned to Korea today after spending the last few weeks in China, filming and promoting his drama. Excited fans greeted the Hallyu star at the airport and even trended #WelcomeBackLay on Twitter.

Schedule Problems Prevented Lay From Attending Overseas Tour

This marks the first time in weeks that the star has stepped foot in Korea. On March 10, Dream Maker Entertainment released a statement to fans that he would not be able to attend the back half of the “EXO PLANET #3 – The EXO’rDIUM” overseas tour. The agency explained that scheduling conflicts with the shooting of Chinese drama “Operation Love” led Lay to opt out of the tour. He missed the concerts in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and North America. Thankfully, however, Lay’s absence seems to be over. His drama recently released its first episode this week and now Lay can reunite with the other EXO members.

Devoted EXO-Ls (fans of EXO) have flooded Twitter with their greetings and excitement over the reunion of the nine members. It’s only been a few hours but #WelcomeBackLay is already trending. Fans flooded airports at both Shanghai and Seoul to cheer him on. Many also fans gave the Chinese member heartfelt letters, which he kept. Many tweets comment that the “OT9” is finally back together and that they can feel that EXO’s comeback will be soon.
